Description
Exports all parts in the IronCAD scene that are marked for CNC processing. The result of the export process depends on the used Para-Flex license and settings. See the options below.
Using Para-Flex Start or Pro
All CNC parts are exported to STEP files.
These files can be loaded into CNC machines and processing software to add tooling to the 3D geometry.
Using Para-Flex Pro Export
All CNC parts are exported to INI files. These INI files contain 3D geometry (like the STEP files) and extra information like materials, board sizes and CAD Tools. Companies with a Para-Flex CAM licence (WoodLabCAM) can use this export for easy CAM processing.
Using Para-Flex CAM
All CNC parts are exported to INI files.
These files can be loaded into WoodLabCAM to automate or edit tooling properties already assigned to the parts. Be sure to switch Enable Pro integration on. When this integration is switched off, the function Export CNC will act like Para-Flex Start or Pro and just export Step files. See the CAM configuration fields in Options/Settings.
Using a Bulk Drawing Template set in Settings
All CNC parts are exported to 2D DXF files.
When a ICD file is assigned to the field Bulk DXF template file in Options/Settings (See Path configuration), regardless of the license and Pro integration settings Para-Flex exports 2D DXF files. The files will be created conform the information set to the parts in the 3D IronCAD model and the linked Bulk Drawing Template.
Conditions
- If INI files are needed, use a Pro Export or CAM license and switch the Pro Integration on as mentioned above.
