Updates the model by recalculating all linear patterns. After changing the geometry, use this button to keep your pattern driven objects up to date. Information about how to use Smart Patterns can be found HERE (new tab will open).
Conditions
– Having the pattern itself, or the part it belongs to selected, blocks updating the pattern, so deselect the items before using this tool.

It doesn’t matter in which order you assign the sheet material or edgebanding
